Zach Kupperman: Looking Forward

Zach Kupperman is an attorney at The Steeg Law Firm by day and works with a number of community driven groups in his off time. He is inspired by the resurgent entrepreneurial community and eco-system in New Orleans- the startups and small businesses that are the drivers of the new economy. With that said, Zach began PollBob.com – an iPhone application and website designed to change the way opinions are shared between friends and Policy Pitch – a way in which citizens can get involved in the legislative process by pitching ideas to local leaders and rallying around the popular proposals.

Zach wants to see reform and reinvention in the education system in New Orleans and sees the possibilities since New Orleans is the city with the most charter schools in the country. He feels that we need to recreate New Orleans as the economic driver of opportunity and the economic capital of the South, as it once was. He would also love to see someone redevelop the old Pontchartrain Beach area because we have all of this beautiful water and space that no one uses.

Zach’s definition of Vision is the ability to clearly define an issue or set of goals and go out and make it happen.

Zach was born and raised in New Orleans, but moved for college and then lived in Austin for several years. He moved back to New Orleans post-Katrina by choice. Zach has been wearing glasses since his freshman year of high school.
