Unprecedented, Revolutionary 3D Custom Digital Lens
New technology allows for a seamless progressive lens which means less distortion and a wider field of vision
Are you having trouble with your progressive lenses or bi-focal eyeglasses? If you are over the age of 40, you may want to consider looking beyond the progressive, or no-line option into the latest revolutionary digitally, custom lens made by Zeiss, GT2 3D.
What makes Zeiss’ latest product a star is the fact that the lens is customized digitally to fit a patient’s prescription. This provides a perfect curve that fits individual needs, in addition allows for a wider field of vision and less distortion. With the traditional progressive lens a patient is not fitted to a precise curve or prescription, rather they are fitted in between the two closest options. In other words, it is not a custom fit.
“The biggest complaint we hear from progressive users is that their peripheral vision is almost non-existent,” stated Dr. Charles Glaser from St. Charles Vision, “What patients need to understand is that this is where the custom, digital lenses shine. Because the lens is a perfectly cut curve that is unique to the individual’s eyesight, there is not going to be any peripheral distortion. It truly is an amazing break-through in lens technology.”
Since this is an unprecedented way to manufacture a lens, the end result is a product that provides the highest level of accuracy in eye prescription. Patients can now rest assure that they will receive a lens for each eye that is a perfect match and will allow for the most optimal vision. Zeiss GT2 3D is available at any of the six, New Orleans area St. Charles Vision locations.
