Dr. Kristi Cook

Dr. Cook completed her undergraduate studies at Southeastern Louisiana  University with a major in biological sciences. While attending Southeastern,  Dr. Cook was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society and remained  on the Dean's List throughout her undergraduate years.

Dr. Cook began her  optometry studies in 1997 at Southern College of Optometry in Memphis,  TN.   While in optometry school,  Dr. Cook was a member of the American Optometric Student Association,  Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society and the Fellowship of Christian Optometrists.  During her fourth year of optometry school, Dr. Cook completed various  clinical rotations. The first internship was with Dr. Glen Steele,  OD, a highly regarded optometrist who specializes in pediatric optometry  and vision therapy. The second rotation was with Alan Mandell, MD and  David Evans, OD at Total Eye Care in Memphis, Tennessee. During this  internship, Dr. Cook gained valuable experience in the diagnosis and treatment of eye disease, post operative care of cataract patients  and the fitting and evaluation of contact lenses.

After graduating  Magna Cum Laude from Southern College of Optometry in 2001, Dr. Cook began her career as a full time optometrist with Vision Plaza in Hammond and Mandeville,   Louisiana.  She also worked  part time with her father, Dr. Stephen E. Warren, at his private optometry practice in Bogalusa, Louisiana. In August 2004, St. Charles Vision Outlet expanded with two new offices located on the northshore.  At that  time, Dr. Cook became a partner at St. Charles Vision Outlet Mandeville and St. Charles Vision Outlet Hammond.
Dr. Cook is Louisiana State Board Therapeutic Certified and is a member of the Optometry Association of Louisiana, American Optometric Association, and the New Orleans Contact Lens Society. Dr. Cook lives in Covington, Louisiana with her husband, Tim, and their two children.
